Who Represents You?
About the League
In the forefront of voter education and civic participation since women won the right to vote, LWV Mpls is now an organization of people dedicated to promoting civic participation at its best.

Grassroots
LWV takes positions on issues—local, regional, state, and national—based on research and study. Voting for consensus agreement is a hallmark of LWV positions.

Member-driven and supported
Members initiate and implement a wide range of projects and programs to support active citizenry such as voter registration, candidate forums and debates, community elections, education and action on issues in the community and in government. Members may join small “units” of members who meet regularly or “at large” where members have all the privileges of membership and participate as desired. Your membership automatically enrolls you as a member of both the state and national League of Women Voters.

Education and Action!

LWV researches public policy issues and produces reports for members, policy makers, and the general public; educates members on current affairs through neighborhood-based discussion groups, the Voter newsletter, and our web site; encourages citizen participation in government; and facilitates the democratic process at all levels, including assisting with elections for community and neighborhood groups.

We encourage you to join online.
