LWVMpls and Online Social/Professional Networking
If you are looking for a more professional way to network try LinkedIn. LinkedIn is an online network of more than 30 million experienced professionals from around the world. LinkedIn is a major networking source for nonprofit organizations, and it’s great publicity for League. When you join you create a profile that summarizes your professional accomplishments. Your profile helps you find and be found by former colleagues, clients, and partners. You can also find organizations, like the League of Women Voters Minneapolis. If you are a member of LinkedIn, search for our group and add it to your profile. Listing League Minneapolis in your groups and associations is good publicity for League. If you are not a member, consider making a profile.
Facebook is a less-formal and more social networking site. Millions of people keep up with their friends, share links and videos and meet new people online through Facebook. Members are also able to join organizations, or become fans of bands, businesses, or nonprofits like LWVMpls. If you are on Facebook, search out the LWVMpls Page and become a fan of it. Potential members want to see who we are before they join. If you do not Facebook, consider joining. Facebook is a fun way to stay connected to League members, and make new friends through the League page.
