The Minneapolis League of Women Voters enthusiastically
joined in marking 2010 as the Year of Water with a 3-forum series on water on
March 6, April 6, and May 8. With the overall theme of Protecting Our Water,
Protecting Our Health, each forum will explored aspects of the state of
Minnesota’s waters and discuss what individuals can do to conserve and protect
it.

Our Troubled Waters The first forum– Our Troubled Waters – was held at
Willey Hall on the University of Minnesota’s West Bank on March 6 from 10 a.m.
to 12:00 p.m.
Urban Water and Land Use The second forum – Urban Water and Land Use – was held
on Tuesday, April 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lake Harriet United Methodist
Church at 4901 Chowen Avenue South, Minneapolis.
Conservation--Preserving Our Water Our third forum--Conservation, Preserving Our Water will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Mayflower Congregational Church, 106 E. Diamond Lake Road. Registration and Exhibits at 8:30 a.m.
