Somali Student Ambassador Project 2008

Somali Students and Minneapolis League offered non-partisan voter information to Twin Cities Somali community. Partnering with Somali Family Services, this curriculum based project sought input from other civic groups.  Results included an action plan, increased number of Somali election judges, and a noted increase in voter turnout in one predominantly Somali area.  Students gained education about political process and skills to become community leaders.
